Set It Off! – Friday 21st December

Posted December 12, 2012

Next Friday come set it off Christmas style! – as AMP & DECK return after the success of last year’s Xmas bash.

First up the mighty Phil Mison, aka Cantoma and half of Reverso 68. Mison cut his Balearic DJ chops standing in for the legendary Jose Padilla at the equally famous Cafe Del Mar in the early – mid-90s. His sunset sets at the bar became as inspirational as Padilla’s to those present. He’s our favourite DJ, and will set the Party off for sure!

Also on Board for this one is Capita! From the great Big In Japan partys at The Book Club and Disco Digger Lucky Jase from Deetour fame, as well as Amp & Deck themselves.

Treetop Flyers – Thursday 13th December

Posted December 11, 2012

We’re excited to have folk-tinged Londoners Treetop Flyers perform at The Waiting Room this Thursday.

Their four-part vocal harmonies rustle up the leaves of your soul with an audible nod to Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young. Stylistically, Fleet Foxes or Midlake sit only a stone’s throw away, yet this comparison with their contemporaries don’t sit so well with the band.

Rowdy Superstar- Wednesday 12th December

Posted December 11, 2012

Fearless experimental pop icon in the making (and the newest member of Atari Teenage Riot), Rowdy Superstar celebrates the release of his new album ‘Battery’ on Wednesday at The Waiting Room. Free Entry all night.

“With Battery I played with distortion and sounds and found myself at a point where I thought it was important to shine light and positive energy. To inspire people to think freely and love limitlessly and fight for what they believe in; to question how we communicate and the rapid speed of a digital generation and where it leads us.”
