The brand new industry night PEERLESS kicks off on Tuesday, bringing you the most exciting buzz bands of the moment. Live performances from JJ Hodari, Michael Baker and Dead Cannons, come down and see what the hype is about.

London four-piece HAWK play live on Wednesday. In the words of The Line of Best Fit they  “combine post-punk and folk in a spine-tingling brew that’ll take potshots at your emotional wellbeing” – don’t miss out.

And for all manner of fun make sure to come to The Waiting Room on Friday night for the Tropical Waste one year residency celebration! There will be a special one-off all nighter featuring B2B sets from the likes of Neana, Moleskin, Kid Antoine, Sudanim, EndgamE, Lexxi, Sam Elsewhere and Seb, all for just £5!

Lay Low will be kicking off the live music at The Waiting Room this Monday. On the back of international tours with Of Monsters And Men, Daughter, and Asgeir Iceland’s Lay Low is stepping into the limelight with a new album ‘Talking About The Weather’. As an artist she has grown in confidence, adding flecks of ambient sound and layered vocals to her trademark acoustic set up. Make sure you grab a ticket now.

On Tuesday there will be a night of music and video to celebrate the release of ‘Sleep Scale,’ the debut record by Devon Loch (Kit Records co-founder Richard). Except an ethereal short film by 4evaNoa, as well as music and visuals from the likes of Diane Edwards, ALIEN JAMS, Adam Oko and Mr Telephone. Doors at 8pm, and tickets are free!

Welsh Experimentalist Meilyr Jones will be playing live on Wednesday night. The front man of of critically acclaimed Welsh psychedelic pop purveyors Racehorses, Meilyr has been going from strength to strength. His music comes from a huge variety of sources, everything from karaoke recordings to recycled YouTube videos, and his show is guaranteed to be something special.

On Thursday night hotly-tipped Lyves will be performing her blend of soul and electro. Booked to play the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds off the back of just one demo, we cannot wait to see what she brings to The Waiting Room.

Fehm celebrate their EP launch on Saturday night with support from Shame. This Northern post-punk four-piece present contemporary ferocity through driving 80s synths, and this release party is sure to be wild. Tickets are free, so head on down for some Saturday night fun.

Something unique is coming to The Waiting Room this Monday. The one-and-only Johnny Borrell presents the first public appearance of his new band Johnny Borrell and The New Zazou playing hits off their forthcoming LP. And the price? One mandala on paper: printed, traced, drawn or otherwise. Doors are at 7pm, head down if you’re as intrigued as we are.

Bearcubs will be performing his unique blend of electronic music live on Wednesday. His emotive music takes inspiration from Flying Lotus, Shlohmo and Clams Casino to name but a few, and his perfect lo-fi dreamy nostalgia makes him one of the most exciting producers of recent times. Entry is free, but you need to RSVP.

This Thursday, Bad Vibrations are once again teaming up with Fuzz Club Records to present two of their most exciting bands. Sonic Jesus will be performing live ahead of revealing details of their new long player, and The Underground Youth will be playing their first London show for more than a year so there’s lots to look forward too. With only 50 tickets on general release, be sure to snap one up quickly.

And completing the live music fun this Friday is the darkly soulful Barli, with support from Sinah. This rising talent has received support from the likes of Clash and The Line of Best Fit, and we are super excited to see what she brings to The Waiting Room.

The Waiting Room has a super special night on Friday. Mike Skinner and Murkage Dave are teaming up to present Tonga: the one-and-only night of tunes, crazy dancing and balloons.
